Born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa, our journey began in November 2017 with just two staff members, a bold idea, and a clear ambition to make a difference. As the first Atmospheric Water Generating plant in South Africa, we entered completely uncharted territory—driven by a desire to help alleviate the looming Day Zero water crisis facing Cape Town at the time.
By July 2018, our team had grown to seven and our client base expanded rapidly, fuelled by exceptional water quality and consistently high service standards. What began as a single product soon evolved into a broader offering, including still and sparkling water in both plastic and glass bottles.

As plans for the next chapter took shape, we made a strategic decision to relaunch the brand entirely. After countless late nights, AQUASKY® was born—bringing with it a fresh identity, renewed purpose, and a bold new direction.

With a new name came a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy, supported by the addition of dedicated sales and branding professionals. Growth accelerated once again, prompting a pivotal evolution of the business: transitioning from Atmospheric Water Generation to sourcing natural mineral water—allowing us to sustainably meet increasing demand while remaining uncompromising on quality and excellence.
After evaluating countless properties, we found our new home in November 2022 in the Elgin Valley at South Hill Vineyards. The site offered the mineral water volumes we required, exceptional natural taste, and ideal proximity to Cape Town—making it the perfect foundation for our next phase of growth. With our staff complement now 46 we are proud to have built a resilient South African success story during turbulent times.
The increased volumes enabled a further expansion of our offering, including a One Cup Event System, delivering mineral water on tap and on demand for large-scale sports events and concerts. At the same time, our 18.9-litre refillable mineral water bottles for office coolers continued to reinforce our commitment to sustainability.
Remaining true to our core sustainability model, our glass bottle delivery, refill, and collection programme—serving leading hotels, restaurants, and wine farms across Cape Town and the Winelands—not only remained intact but grew significantly. This remains our flagship offering, driven by superior water taste and reliable supply volumes.
